Jenks is newer than almost anywhere else in the metro and that shows up in the driveways: wide modern concrete with enough room to open all four doors at once. The catch is lot width. Newer Jenks subdivisions put houses closer together than the older parts of Tulsa do, so on the narrowest lots there is less room to walk the far side of a full-size truck than the driveway first suggests. It is rarely a problem, but it is worth a word when you book if you drive something large.
The second Jenks specific is the river. Homes along and near the Arkansas River corridor sit in the path of a genuinely heavy spring pollen load off the cottonwoods and sycamores, and that yellow-green film settles on paint and gets pulled straight into the cabin through the vents. Jenks cars come into April and May needing both sides of the job rather than one.
Third, and practically: Jenks is only about fifteen minutes from the Sapulpa base. That makes it one of the easier towns to slot in on short notice when something opens up, which is not true of the far north and east edges of the metro.
